Proviron is an androgenic steroid that does not have anabolic properties. It has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the male reproductive system, mainly on potency and fertility. The product prevents the formation of estrogen, so it is used as an anti-estrogen, it blocks aromatization to estrogen.
Proviron – how does it work?
Proviron, also called Mesterolon, is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone. The drug Proviron-25, replenishes the deficiency of male sex hormones, or androgens. The concentration of androgens gradually decreases with age, so this preparation is indicated for taking in any condition caused by a deficiency of androgens in the body. By keeping estrogen levels low, one can avoid water retention in the body, the occurrence of gynecomastia, and fat deposition. In addition, it facilitates the acquisition of muscle mass, without depositing fat. Proviron-25 binds to plasma proteins, is rapidly absorbed and excreted in the urine in the form of metabolites. When administered in accordance with the dosage, it does not interfere with spermatogenesis. Proviron is most often used after a cycle, but the drug itself eliminates disorders caused by testosteronedeficiency. Bodybuilders use the drug as an estrogen antogonist, and also to protect against steroid aromatization. The recommended daily dose is 1 tablet, while the duration of the full treatment depends on the level of testosterone deficiency after the cycle. Proviron is often combined with other agents necessary in the reblood, such as clomid or nolvadex, so you can get better results.
Proviron-25 – application
When is it recommended to use proviron? In case of the appearance and need to alleviate the discomforts of androgen deficiency, such as:

The preparation removes the symptoms of too low androgen levels, in case of atrophy of sex gland function, after puberty. The drug is also used to treat infertility in husbands. One of the causes of infertility, can be reduced sperm count and Leydig cell failure, by taking Proviron, you can increase the quantity and quality of sperm and the concentration of fructose in seminal fluid – which increases the chances of conception.
Proviron drug – how to dose?
How to take the drug Proviron? The drug comes in the form of tablets, which should be swallowed whole and washed down with water. When starting treatment, take 1 tablet 3 times a day. During the continuation of treatment – 1 tablet of the drug 1 to 2 times a day. Continuation of treatment can last up to several months. The duration of taking Proviron-25 should be decided by the doctor. When using the drug for Hypogonadism, long-term treatment is recommended. In order to develop secondary male sexual characteristics, take 1 to 2 tablets of the drug 3 times a day for several months. When maintaining treatment – 1 tablet 2 to 3 times a day.
When using the drug for infertility and improving the quantity and quality of sperm, the recommended dose taken is 1 tablet 2 to 3 times a day for one cycle of spermatogenesis, that is, for about 90 days. If necessary, treatment should be repeated after a break of several weeks. In the case of post-adolescent Leydig cell failure, in order to increase the concentration of fructose in sperm, 1 tablet should be taken 2 times a day for several months. Proviron-25 is a non-toxic drug, so even with a dose higher than recommended, there is no risk of poisoning.
Proviron – side effects
Like any drug, Proviron-25 can also cause side effects, that is, adverse reactions that can occur in some patients. Among the side effects, frequent or prolonged erections may occur, in which case the dose should then be reduced or treatment should be discontinued to avoid penile injury. Among the androgenic effects of the drug, the following may occur: loss of hair on the head, excessive body hair, acne. Such side effects are genetically determined. If side effects not listed in the package insert appear and worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist. Proviron should not be used by women, as it can cause a masculinizing effect in them. THIS is a drug dedicated to men. Since it does not aromatize, it does not cause gynecomastia or excessive water retention in the body, nor does it raise blood pressure.
The drug should not be used in case of:
- hypersensitivity to mesterolone or any other component of the drug,
- prostate cancer,
- past or existing liver tumors.
The drug should not be used in healthy individuals for muscle development or to increase physical performance. The drug should not be used in patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption syndrome. During the use of hormones such as the mesterolone contained in Proviron-25, benign, or even more rarely, malignant liver tumors can occur in rare cases, which can lead to life-threatening abdominal bleeding.
How long does Proviron last?
Proviron is most often used after the completion of an SAA cycle or during its course – it all depends on the required effects. The duration of the drug is about 12 hours. It is best to use it for up to 3 months, but the dose should be adjusted individually for each patient, which is influenced by, among other things: the purpose of application, the length of the cycle, the system of intake, combination with other agents. After a satisfactory improvement, you can try reducing the dose.
Proviron odblok
Proviron is used as an odblok, after the end of a cycle to prevent possible impotence. Some athletes, especially bodybuilders take the drug year-round to maintain an ideal physique and improve sexual performance. Since the drug supports the growth of androgens, it causes the effect of greater muscle hardness. It supports the level of testosterone, which falls during the cycle – and supports the correct functioning of hormones.
