To come up with a quick and cheap dinner most often, ironically, takes a lot of time. The preparation of the dish itself may take 15 minutes, but so what if before that you lose an hour thinking about what to eat in the first place. Therefore, below are some interesting suggestions for a good, instant and inexpensive dinner.
Banana pancakes with millet groats
All you need is two bananas, half a bag of cooked millet groats, two tablespoons of cake flour, two tablespoons of potato flour, two eggs, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of baking powder. Crush the bananas, add the rest of the ingredients to them. Blend the millet groats until smooth and add them to the previously prepared bananas with the ingredients. We mix until combined. Pour the mixture onto the heated oil and fry for a couple of minutes on each side, over low heat. We put the finished pancakes on a plate lined with a paper towel to drain them a little from the fat. Serve sweet, with chocolate, whipped cream or maple syrup (yum!).
Potatoes from the oven, with garlic sauce.
This is a really quick and inexpensive dinner. We wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into quarters (about the same size). We put them in a bowl, season them with salt, sweet paprika, chopped garlic clove and herbes de Provence. We pour a little oil over them. Preheat the oven to about 220 degrees. Put the potatoes on a baking tray and bake for about half an hour. Before serving, check if they are already soft.
Garlic sauce: mix two tablespoons of mayonnaise with a quarter cup of milk. Add 1-2 cloves of chopped garlic (measure the number of cloves depending on how garlicky you like the sauce) and half a teaspoon of granulated garlic.
Toast, a way to make a quick and inexpensive dinner
Who doesn’t like toast? I do not know such a person. However, we are not talking about ordinary toast with cheese. We have three interesting suggestions on how to diversify the classic toast. You can make it sweet! Toast with nuttella and banana sounds delicious. This dish will especially please the little ones, although adults are sure to like it too. Toast will also taste delicious with oscypek, sprinkled with arugula. As an accompaniment it will be good to serve them with cranberries or cranberries. The last suggestion is toast with tomato, feta, onion, sunflower and spinach. It will make you drool.
Spaghetti, a classic of the genre
What do we need? Half a kilo of ready-made minced ham meat, half an onion, two carrots, two cloves of garlic, tomato passata and, of course, spices. Cut the onion into cubes, put it in a pot in hot oil, after a while add to it diced carrots. Pour a little water over everything and season with salt. Rinse the meat in a colander and add it to the carrots and onions. We pour in ¾ cup of water. We cover the pot with a lid and simmer the meat for about 20 minutes. After this time, we add the tomato passata, season some more with salt and pepper and boil again. The sauce is ready. Now all you need to do is cook the pasta, according to the instructions on the package and dinner is ready.
A quick and inexpensive dinner is not such a simple matter. However, it is not impossible. Just take a moment to think about it, or, if you lack the nerve, use the ready-made suggestions given above.
